Revisit the goals of the project - what were the original objectives? Which ones
have been met?
Review current workflow processes with staff and management - What is working?
What is not working? Where are the gaps in the processes that cause workflows to
become inefficient?
What are the "barriers to success"? - What things stand in the way of the successful
implementation?
Review the "boundaries" of the project with management - Time, money, people, political
climate
What parts of the system are being used? Are they being used to their highest level
of competence?
Evaluate the level of understanding of the system functions
Evaluate the educational requirements of the staff - is retraining appropriate?
Create a project plan with measurable outcomes to address open implementation issues
Develop internal staff to continue the post-implementation process - projects never truly
end. Review must be ongoing.
Present "Best of Breed" models that have been successfully implemented in other locations
and, if appropriate, utilize a rapid design approach to implement organizational changes.
